Concerts and Events in Eden, Huntsville, and Liberty in the Northern Utah Mountains

CONCERTS

Sunday afternoon concerts on the plaza at Snowbasin Resort: Every Sunday throughout summer, enjoy a full range of musical diversity, ranging from salsa to reggae and everything in between. The concerts are complimentary; and patrons can purchase BBQ on the plaza or take a Gondola ride to the top of the mountain and hike or bike down. For more information go to www.snowbasin.com

 

Wolf Mountain’s Music in the Mountains: Fun for the whole family, these cool Saturday evening concerts are just $20 per carload, except for the Utah Symphony concert which is $40 per carload. Patrons should bring their own folding chair or blanket and wear appropriate shoes to ascend a gentle uphill slope. It can get surprisingly cool after the sun sets, so outer layers are encouraged. Food is available for purchase or pack a picnic. Costs listed are per carload, offering an opportunity for concertgoers to be creative! Food concessions and free face painting for kids of all ages are available. These concerts are picnic friendly. Dates are July 12, July 26, August 9, August 23 and September 6. August 3: Snowbasin’s Mountain Outdoor Program. Plant Identifications and Wildflowers Class at 1 p.m. Welcome to the coolest classroom in the world. Learn Orienteering/Geocaching, Disc Golf, Mountain Biking, Cross Country, Freeriding, Mountaineering, Hiking, Glacier/Snow Travel, Rock Climbing Techniques, Peak Bagging and Rappelling. Our programs are designed to help people develop and practice the skills they need to live, travel and play in the outdoors. Adventure services include Guided Bike Tours, Naturalist Guides, Beyond Trails Guides, Bike Rentals, Shuttle Service, Overnight Outdoor Adventure and Overnight Camps. August 10: Snowbasin Resort’s Sunday Concert Series with the Pop/Rock Cover Band, Voodoo Box BBQ on the Plaza from 11 - 5 p.m, concert from 3 - 6 p.m.

August 10, 17 & 24: Snowbasin Resort’s Great Basin Wildlife Exhibitions. Meet all different creatures on select Sunday afternoons at Snowbasin Resort. See Ring Tailed Cats and don't miss D.B. Cooper, the Raven. 3 - 6 p.m. on the Plaza.

August 15, 16 & 17: The 14th Annual Ogden Valley Balloon Festival: Northern Utah’s largest balloon event with Balloon Launches every morning in Eden at 7 a.m. with pancake breakfast. Evening launches and concerts August 16 & 17 at the Festival Field on Wolf Creek Drive. Arts & Crafts show and food vendors Friday 2 – 6 p.m., Saturday 9 – 6 p.m. and Sunday 9 – 2 p.m. at Wolf Mountain. Visit www.ogdenvalleyballoonfestival.com for more information. August 16: Snowbasin’s Late Night Gondola and Star Party. Ogden Astronomical Society provides a stellar star party. 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. by the Needles Lodge. Gondola Sightseeing rates apply.

August 17: Snowbasin Resort’s Sunday Concert Series with the classic rock-n-roll of Flew the Coop. BBQ on the Plaza from 11 - 5 p.m, concert from 3 - 6 p.m.

August 23: 2nd Annual Paddlefest. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Middle Inlet of Pineview Reservoir
Festivities center around non-motorized watercraft such as kayaks, canoes and funyaks. Festival will feature live music, food court, kids’ areas and the opportunity to try out different watercraft with experienced guides. $10/person, $15/couple and $20/family
